This policy explains how [ENTITY_NAME] ("we", "us") handles information in connection with the Document Studio Google Workspace add-on (the "Add-on") and this website. By using the Add-on you agree to this policy.
Document Studio runs inside your own Google account. Your spreadsheet content, your templates, and your email recipients are processed on Google's systems under your authorization and are never sent to or stored on our servers. The only personal data we collect about you is your Google account email address, so we can manage your access and support you.
With your permission, the Add-on works directly with your Google data to do its job. This data is not transmitted to us:
userinfo.email permission. We do not collect, store, sell, or share your spreadsheet data, document contents, or the email addresses of your recipients.
Document Studio's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We only use Google user data to provide and improve the Add-on's user-facing features, and we do not use it for advertising or transfer it to third parties except as needed to provide the service or as required by law.
| Permission | Why |
|---|---|
| See, edit, create and delete the current spreadsheet | Read your rows; write processing status and form-response tabs. |
| View and manage Google Docs | Read and fill your document templates. |
| See, create and manage only the files it opens/creates in Drive | Create the generated documents and PDFs. |
| Send email as you | Send your merged messages from your account. |
| Create and edit Google Forms | Optionally build follow-up / unsubscribe forms for you. |
| Connect to an external service | Load the Drive file picker and record your activation email. |
| See your primary email address | Identify your account for access and support. |
Your activation email address is recorded to a private Google Form/Sheet that we control, used solely to manage the beta, licensing, and support. It is not shared with third parties.
We rely on Google (platform and APIs). If and when paid plans are offered, payments are handled by a third-party merchant of record (e.g. a payment provider) subject to its own privacy policy; we receive only the information needed to fulfil your license. We will update this policy before introducing any new data processing (for example, optional email open-tracking).
We keep your activation email and license details for as long as you use the Add-on and as needed for legal/accounting purposes, then delete them. Data inside your Google account remains under your control and is governed by Google's terms.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the limited data we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal data we hold about you, and you can uninstall the Add-on at any time to revoke its access (via your Google Account permissions). Depending on your location (e.g. under the EU GDPR or India's DPDP Act), you may have additional rights. Contact us at [CONTACT_EMAIL].
The Add-on is not directed to children under 13 (or the age required in your jurisdiction).
We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
